Overview:

Jhpiego (an Affiliate of Johns Hopkins University) is implementing a large maternal and child health program known as MCHIP to work with government and other health partners to introduce and scale up high-impact maternal, newborn and child health interventions with focus in Sindh Province. Jhpiego seeks suitable candidates for the following position within the MCHIP project based in Karachi, Pakistan.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support for to maintain storage area and inventory including stock issuance, receiving, coordination with procurement, program and finance department.
  • Provides assistance with fixed asset management activities including data entry into database, inventory, and disposal of fixed assets; incident report follow up for lost or damaged asset.
  • In coordination with admin assistant, regularly performs physical verification of inventory items and tags and monthly report and status.
  • Inventory and stock register database update including entering data, verifying records and attaching essential documents.
  • Visits to field offices to verify the physical condition and location of the asset.
  • In coordination with program officer in Karachi, keeping and maintaining  comprehensive filing system, including the systematic records of store release, gate pass and waybills.
  • Collaboration with procurement & finance section to keep an updated record of medical and asset supplies and items including proper disposal of assets and inventory items.
  • Provides backup assistance to Senior Manager Administration & IT as and when required.

Required Skills, Qualification & Experience:

  • Inventory & store management / assistance experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of keeping medical items.
  • Administration and Data entry assistance skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal Communication Skills.
  • Fluency in English / Urdu is a must/ Sindhi optional.
  • Time Management Skills.
  • Capable of Multi-tasks.
  • Availability and will to travel to field offices on short notice.
  • Ability to release medical items from store on short notice.
  • Ability to Record / Track medical equipment & assets in field offices.
  • Graduation or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years’ experience of store and inventory management.
