Principal Duties:
- Lead the Product Testing effort on assigned Scrum Team(s), which may include leading a team of 3 or 4 STEs or SDE/Ts, locally or offshore.
- Represent SQA in Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, and Retrospective Meetings.
- Manage Sprint Backlog Items pertaining to Product Testing, ensuring timely and quality testing related deliverables to the Scrum Team
- Create and Manage Scrum Team deliverables including Test Cases, Execution, and management of Bugs (tracking and closure) where applicable
- Contribute to the collaborative team environment and overall success of assigned Scrum Teams
- Develops, executes and maintains test plans and test cases for long and short term development projects
- May develop automated Tests as appropriate and maintain the automated test repository/asset
- Clear and Escalate Risk and Obstacles to testing through appropriate channels
- Ensure adequate and efficient testing coverage during the s/w development life-cycle
- Champion the application of, and adherence to, the Definition of Done (DOD)
- Contribute to the deployment activities for emergency product patches and scheduled product releases.
- Completes short-term assignments and tasks as required
- Champions process improvement and efficiency gains at the Scrum Team and Department levels where applicable
- Develop and maintain process or procedural documentation at the Department and Scrum Team levels where applicable
- Train the new Software Test Engineers (Taking them through the SQA training curriculum)
