- The Web Designer will be responsible to works on a variety of projects where they are primarily involved in web site design and development, including creation of custom graphics. The position is responsible for designing the user interface and overall customer experience for websites and applications, including overall navigation flow, layout of specific pages, and creation of individual graph ic elements.
- Development – implementing approved designs in WordPress or other technologies, including coordinating with application developers.
- Multi-media – developing logos, creating and editing flash animations and other multimedia contents.
- Determine technical requirements – interface with clients/managers to gather specifications on the desired task.
- Provide design direction – presenting initial wireframes/mock-ups to clients, incorporating designing principles (color theory, shapes, space, alignment), gathering feedback, and presenting final designs for approval.
- Content management – ensure that all code is in version control, backed-up, properly documented and has been properly QA’d.
- Knowledge of web programming languages (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and Wordpress)
- Expertise on software design (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver) and familiarity with other Creative Suite tools (e.g. Flash)
- Familiarity with current and emerging technologies, from responsive design etc.
