Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  1. Primarily responsible for assisting project managers in effective and efficient management of projects
  2. May also be assigned as a project manager on specified projects
  3. Prepares project schedules and other project artifacts in coordination with the project manager and relevant stakeholders
  4. Coordinates with Business Analyst, Software Architect and Team Leads for project estimation (time, effort, duration)
  5. Coordinates with Business Analyst, Software Architect, Team Leads and relevant stakeholders in requirements change management, and ensures that affected plans or artifacts are updated and communicated to relevant stakeholders
  6. Coordinates with team members on project activities and tracks project progress
  7. Follows up with team members on project tasks and resolves or assists to resolve project issues
  8. Facilitates the project manager in project communication and reporting. May also be designated for independently performing project communication and reporting on designated projects the scope of which may vary from project to project
  9. Collects, compiles, analyzes and reports project and process data to facilitate the project manager and management in making informed decisions
  10. Facilitates in process assurance and other process activities related to assigned projects
  11. May be assigned on multiple projects
 
Skills Required:
 
Required Qualifications and Competencies

A degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent
4+ years experience in software engineering with at least 1+ year experience in project management

Competencies

Sound knowledge of project management discipline. Knowledge of PMBOK would be a plus
Sound knowledge of SDLC and good understanding of software engineering methodologies
Excellent communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and team skills
Ability to organize and plan
Self-driven with drive to execute and deliver on time
Skills in MS Project or related tool, Visio and MS Office
Excellent learning skills
