|
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Programme introduction to identify potential borrowers
- Effective and strong credit appraisal ensuring credit reaches to right borrower (i.e. person who deserves and has potential to repay the loan)
- Strong recovery monitoring and follow-up
TASKS - The work of the Assistant Credit Officer includes some or all of the following activities:
Introduction and case processing - Identification of possible potential clients by making field visits in the targeted community through meetings and door to door interactions
- Formation of local groups of clients for effective delivery of services as and when required.
- Follow-up visit to the community for monitoring the micro enterprises in order to check the progress, reputation or the general opinion of the community.
- Interview applicants and requests specified information for loan application;, background checks, reference checks, and appropriate credit documentation to evaluate loan applications;
- Analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan; and corresponds with or interviews applicant or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.
Planning and Management - The ACO is required to prepare his/her work plan of the activities on monthly, quarterly and annually basis as and when required.
- Accurate and timely processing of credit applications in accordance with lending policies and limits
- Establishing timely recovery follow up plan with clients
- Ensuring the incorporation of the Islamic tools of financing in the programme
- Assists community or potential borrowers with inquiries and information requests, and resolves complaints relating to loan products and services offered
Documentation: - Preparing daily, monthly field reports recording the days events,
- Maintaining updated individual clients ledgers and
- Compilation of the collected client information into database
- Maintaining financial and socio-economic record of each client.
- Developing follow up reports of each client.
Disbursement and Recovery - Purchasing of stock for the borrowers as and when required
- Compilation of all relevant documents at the signing of Murabaha Contract
- Determine monthly installments amount and due data. Communicate and provide pass book immediately to borrowers once the loan is disbursed
- Timely recovery collection from borrowers
- Daily submission of recovery collection to finance department.
Pursuing the delayed payments and ensuing that it should not go beyond due date (zero tolerance)
