Using a diverse range of high tech methods to investigate the chemical nature of Mineral Raw Material. Identifying, understanding and sorting the minerals according to required specification. Studying the physical and chemical properties of minerals with a view to determining the quality and quality control. Performs tests on products using analytical equipment in QC/QA labs, and filing reports for both internal and external use. Interpreting data and adhering to strict guidelines on documentation when recording data. Determines quality of product based on analytical test results, and work with Lab Staff to determine any issues or measures for improvement. Maintains product quality documentation system by writing or rewriting quality assurance procedures. Maintains QC/QA lab equipment and facility, to ensure consistent analytical results and a safe working environment. Being aware of, and keeping up to date with, health and safety issues in all aspects of the work undertaken. Reporting scientific results. Liaising with customers, staff and suppliers.
