Summary of Responsibilities Get goods to the right place, at the right time, in the right quantities, while managing and maintaining inventories and storage locations. Main Duties - Monitor the quality, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods - Negotiate with transporters to reduce costs and achieve maximum efficiency - Calculate total supply chain costs in relation to proposed new products - Determine and identify mode of distribution of goods on a regular basis while keeping in view both efficiency and costs. - Manage the distribution of staff and workforce - Propose ideas and keep abreast of new developments likely to affect the movement of goods and services. - Coordinate with Finance department to assist in controlling the order cycle. - Analyze logistical problems and produce new solutions.Note This job description echoes the principal responsibilities of the position and identifies the level of accountability the incumbent will be required to work. - 1-2 years of professional work experience in Distribution. Experience in related industry will be an added advantage.
