Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  1. A leadership role primarily responsible for leading software engineering group engaged in the development of high availability, fault tolerant, redundant, secure, clustered, and mission critical financial applications with a global customer base including fortune 500 companies
  2. Provides technology leadership, initiating programs for research, evaluation, deployment and adoption of tools, technologies and systems aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the development organization
  3. Employs technology as a strategic tool to leverage organizational resources, aligned with business goals and strategies and for steering organization wide change initiatives
  4. Leads software engineering process initiatives that effectively meet business requirements, cut cost (including time to deliver) and enhance quality and productivity
  5. Constantly refines the design and engineering practices, adopting approaches, methodologies, and frameworks that maximize re usability, configuration, maintainability, scalability, security etc.
  6. Strives to employ industry standards and best practices
  7. Responsible for coaching, training and developing architects and engineers, encouraging innovative design approaches for software problems and challenges
  8. Constantly strives to raise the internal benchmarks of quality, engineering and performance
  9. Leads by example, actively working to instill a professional and healthy team culture, inspiring team members to learn and grow continuously
  10. Liaise with top managers and key business stakeholders including customers for matters related to technology and engineering
  11. Develops mechanisms and channels that provide visibility to the management regarding engineering processes, opportunities, risks, programs and initiatives
