ROZEE.PK JOB FAIR 2007 ATTRACTS
OVER 100,000 JOBSEEKERS NATIONWIDE
April 8th 2007 - Karachi, Pakistan – The
Rozee Job Fair 2007 in Partnership with
Jang Group has made history
in Pakistan by pulling over 100,000 jobseekers for
the 3-city fair in Lahore (March 18th),
Islamabad (April 1st) and Karachi (April
8th).
In Karachi alone, over 30,000 jobseekers
had pre-registered on www.rozee.pk for
the one-day event at the Karachi Expo
Center, Hall #4, where they had
an opportunity to interact with HR managers
from over 100 leading companies on a one-to-one
basis, and also attend seminars conducted
by human resource gurus on career enhancement
topics.
Encouraged by the quality response
from past ROZEE.PK job fairs, almost all
the companies that participated last year
are recruiting at the 3rd annual fair again
this time. UBL called the job fair a “fantastic
branding opportunity”, Mobilink
thought the response was “overwhelming,” and
Habib Bank was more than satisfied by “good
applicants it received from renowned universities
like LUMS.
Lahore and Islamabad
job fairs have generated over
5,500 job offers, according
to employer feedback, which underscores
the importance of job fairs such as these
to support an economy growing at a GDP
of 7%. This year’s fair had the
strongest employment activity from the
Telecom, Banking, IT and Media Industry,
though Pharmaceutical, Engineering, Construction,
Service, and other industries also participated;
as did educational institutions and the
government sector.
The fair’s main
sponsors were Mobilink,
UBL, PITB, HBL, GEO TV, PSEB, Motorola,
Standard Chartered Bank, Ovex Technologies,
Microsoft Pakistan, GSK, TRG, Crescent
Bahuman and Pakistan Cement Company Limited. Commenting
on the job fair, Chairman and CEO of
ROZEE.PK, Mr. Monis Rahman said: "ROZEE.PK
is committed to benefiting Pakistan's
growing economy and vibrant job market. With
over 100,000 job seekers in attendance
and more than 5,000 jobs offers already
