Manages major functions of mechanical activities.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Major Responsibilities
- Responsible for the mechanical maintenance of Cement Mills & Pack-House.
- Plan, direct, and manage major function of the Mechanical activities for the complete area.
- Manage & supervise all Routine & Non-routine Mechanical jobs.
- Prepare daily check list for abnormalities.
- Plan & Manage all maintenance job for Routine Shut down or break down.
- Manage all consumable item’s inventory & spare parts to reduce down time & Cost Optimization.
- Manage Mechanical Man Power according to duty roaster & especially in case of emergency.
- Maintain Mechanical History Cards of all Machines after any major activity.
- Follow the Preventive Maintenance work & request of Supervisor/Foreman PM.
- Implementation of safety procedures during Shut down or routine maintenance.

- Manpower Management
- Major Spare Parts & Consumable item inventory including Special Tools for Shop floor.
- Manage the Shifting of Spare Parts etc.
Reporting
- Mechanical Monthly Report
- Mechanical Daily Report.
- Oracle Work Requests
- Mechanical History Cards of All Machine
- Monthly Mechanical Shift Roster.
- Evaluation Report
- RCA & Case Study Report.
- Shut Down Activity Plan.
- Diesel Consumption Report
- VFL
- Hazard Cards
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- B.Sc. Engineering ( Mechanical )
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Cement Industry.
COMPETENCIES
As per Lafarge Professional Development Guide (Plant Functions. Version January 2011).
ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply with Environmental Rules and Regulations as per Lafarge HS&E Standards
RISK PROFILE
- Known Risk profiles are as under
