Overall Mission

  • Promote the Lafarge maintenance processes, ensuring application of maintenance procedures, methods and best practices.
  • Ensure planning and scheduling of maintenance operations, looking for the optimum use of resources, equipment availability and maintenance cost.
  • Through the Reliability Committee, drive cross functional analysis of incidents and maintenance performance, implementing the action plans to improve both reliability and maintenance practices.
  • Assist the maintenance manager to prepare the maintenance budget and perform monthly gap analysis (actual vs. budget).

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Key Result Area: Tools Maintenance Management Softwares: CMMS (Maximo), ADAP, etc. Best practices: Maintenance budget, Maintenance inspections & job plans. Non destructive tests (NDT) methods, PPM guidelines. Root Cause Analysis (RCA). MS Project.Key Result Area: H&S Communicate clearly on information relating to potentially dangerous situations and get confirmation that they are correctly understood. Make sure that key equipment is working properly. Ensure the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Check for safety and cleanness in the workplace. Ensure that all the team members are fully aware of HSE polices and instruction in order to have awareness about the importance of HSE. Ensure adherence to HSE policies by all team members in order to avoid accidents.Key Result Area: Scheduling Activities With the assistance of the head of mechanical / electrical departments, schedule and prepare weekly mechanical and electrical maintenance programmes. Manage maintenance backlog.Key Result Area: Preparation Activities Ensure good working conditions and safety for maintenance operations. Collect and handle all the work requests and check for accuracy of technical information. Manage maintenance backlog. Ensure quality of technical specifications for spares and sub-contracted work. Keep library updated and ensure equipment documentation is permanently updated �as built�. Develop and ensure the utilization of the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Look for the best optimization of maintenance operations according to the availability of equipment and workforce. Key Result Area: Assistance of Maintenance Manager Schedule and prepare major shutdowns ensuring co-ordination with other departments. Assist the Maintenance Manager with the preparation of the budget ensuring technical justification for maintenance major operations. Perform monthly gap analysis of maintenance budget and performance indicators. Maintain and update the preventive maintenance program. Analyze and propose solutions on reliability and safety issues, within the framework of the Reliability Committee. Participate in the Plant Improvement Program (PIP).Key Result Area: Team Management Recruit the right team members with the collaboration of Line manager and HR Department in order to ensure the skill set of team members that can address the departmental needs. Coach and train team members on existing and new concepts, technology and functionality to pave their way towards the successful achievement of the functional objectives of the team, thus playing a role in the enhancement of the technical skill set of an individual and improving the growth of an individual towards positive attitude. Monitor performance of all team members in order to identify the difference between expected level of productivity and actual productivity. Review and approve all the operational activities of team members. Keep motivation level high among all team members to bring the best out of them. Keep a conducive and learning environment among all team members in order to ensure a healthy, friendly, productive and supportive environment. Ensure that each member is adhering to the policies and procedures announced by the management.
