• Resolve and provide counseling on highly complex legal, procedural and technical issues pertaining to IDPs rights in the context of FATA.
  • Provide advice to IDPs/Returnees on civil documentations and other legal matters on a daily basis (including advice on issues relating to acquiring identification documents, such as computerized national identity cards (CNICs), passports, birth, death and marriage certificates, as well as other official documents such as Automated Teller Machine cards).
  • Under the direction of Coordinator, propose new and implement existing legal procedures to regularly reorganize and restructure the provision of legal services, case management, and quality interventions.
  • Record each reported case of missing documentation and ensures that the persons of concern are fully aware of how to claim new documents and are able to follow the required procedure.
  • Provide assistance in filling out forms and accompanying IDPs/returnees to legal offices, police stations and any other government offices in the process to solve legal matter as deemed necessary.
  • Refer legal matter to various legal authorities; conduct follow-ups to ensure delivery of services to persons of concern.
  • Provide updated information on legal matters to Information Officer as new issues arise and on an ad hoc basis upon request
  • Maintain clear records of all referrals, follow-ups and case outcomes.
  • Perform any other duties as may be requested by the coordinator
