Job Description

Main Responsibilities

· Functioning as the communication hub for the office assuring that requests for information are handled promptly;

· Managing the daily calendar for the HOD of department to include scheduling and monitoring appointments and assisting the all other officials of the department;

· Handling enquiries;

· Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with all other departmental faculty and other seniors, assuring that necessary information is provided on a timely basis;

· Taking notes and preparing minutes of departmental meetings, and assuring that these minutes are distributed, approved and recorded;

· Handling all written and telephonic communications in and out of the office;

· Assisting HoD/faculty to interact with any other office/department outside LUMS for official purpose;

· Managing all communications equipment in the office of the HOD, assuring that they are in working order and operating as intended;

· Establishing and maintaining proper records and files of correspondence, meetings, and reports;

· Providing assistance as necessary to other departmental colleagues; and

· Performing any other duties as may be required by the Head of Department.
