Responsibilities:

·         Manage the overall strategy, vision, planning and execution of the Urban Youth program including:

-          Lead and manage overall operations to ensure program activities deliver on specific goals and ultimately empowers and benefits urban youth

-          Provide leadership to drive innovation and sustainability in all aspects of the program,

-          Identify relevant entrepreneurs, investors and urban youth centered organizations as potential partners for the program

-          Leverage existing networks, particularly in the business community, to support the program  

-          Identify and build relationships with potential impact investors to support scaling, funding and mentorship opportunities for program participants

-          Develop and manage relationships with corporate and philanthropic partners to meet fundraising objectives

-          Ensure successful marketing of the program to meet developmental objectives

-          Develop and execute communication strategy to ensure generation of relevant content and stories to be disseminated to raise the profile of the program

-          Provide ongoing support to program participants and work with relevant team members to ensure adequate reporting from participants on their KPIs and activities

·         Ensure support of the local and international collaborating partners/third parties for successful execution of the program

·         Act as the official representative for the overall program, attending and presenting at relevant conferences and events where necessary.

Stakeholder and Client Relationship Management and Reporting:

·         Manage relationships with local and international collaborating partners to ensure agreement of the program’s strategy, plans, deliverables, KPIs and resource requirements

·         Be receptive to new programming opportunities and ideas brought forward by stakeholders from time to time, but advising LUMS and program sponsors of potential threats and or opportunities for reviewing the program scope

·         Provide communication, information, briefings etc. as required by all stakeholders

·         Oversee timely and accurate reporting including production of inter alia, quarterly progress reports, annual reports, briefing papers, etc.

·         Develop a mechanism for stakeholder consultation including client relationship building with key local and international corporates for fundraising opportunities

·         Managing relationships with government, industry actors, business partners and program implementation partners including LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship

·         Coordinate with, represent and promote the program with external stakeholders including other development organizations, relevant programs of donor and government agencies, business member organizations, etc

·         Undertake effective relationship building with private sector operatives who are active in the program environment, and who are willing to invest in the sector

Other:

·         Performing any other tasks as agreed with the program sponsors, stakeholders and managing team member

Reporting Arrangements:

This position reports to the Executive Director of the LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship

Experience:

·         The candidate should have extensive (6-8 years) managerial experience, including experience of growing businesses, raising capital, establishing partnerships, sales, and negotiations.

Knowledge & Skills:

·         The ideal candidate needs to be passionate about solving the problems targeted by this program and outlined in the background section.

·         The candidate should also have demonstrated ability to evaluate and mentor young entrepreneurs.

·         The candidate should demonstrate an understanding of issues, challenges and opportunities of the urban youth demographic in Pakistan as well as entrepreneurial eco-system in the country.

·         The candidate must be well connected in the local and global developmental, entrepreneurial and impact investor community, including strong links with local and expatriate Pakistani community that can mentor the program participants.

·         Excellent leadership and networking skills are a must for this position.

Terms of Employment:

·         This is a contractual position for an initial period of 2 years, renewable based on program extension

·         The position is based in Lahore, Pakistan at LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship

·         Competitive market based remuneration will be offered for the position
