Main Responsibilities

1. Relationship Building

· Build & manage relationship with Print and Electronic Media

o Arrange meetings between members of the University & Media

o Schedule interviews for Special Feature Reports

o Issue press releases as and when required to publicize academic and research accomplishments

o Develop Media Calendar

· Co-ordinate, conduct & manage all Visits to LUMS

2. Development of Promotional Material

· Develop, design, print & distribute the LUMS Publications such as Newsletters, Brochures, Calendar, Pocket Guides, Diaries, Reports etc among relevant groups

· Maintain an updated data base of photographs for use on the LUMS Website and other required mediums

3. Communication

· Plan with help of supervisor to ensure effective internal & external communication between LUMS community and external world

· Create awareness of LUMS’ strengths and success stories of LUMS community locally and internationally

· Handling social media

· Providing editing support to other departments

· Provide coverage of events at LUMS and devise campaigns for highlighted events

4. Custodian of LUMS Brand

· Ensure that LUMS identity is safeguarded with correct use of logo

· Co-ordinate & manage external Events at LUMS provided they fall within the branding guidelines established

5. Custodian of the LUMS Website and Social media

· Supervise the creation, maintenance and updating LUMS General Website

· Handling social media platforms: existing and researching to keep up with latest trends

6. Planning & Budgeting

· Prepare yearly plan in light of LUMS’ vision

· Prepare department budget according to the agreed plans

· Cost conscious and effective planner

7. This position also provides full support to the Marketing Unit and will be assigned certain tasks related to marketing activities.
