Main Responsibilities
· To install, configure, update and secure Linux servers, and occasionally Windows Servers
· Responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, and tuning of application servers and web servers on LINUX environment.
· To perform maintenance and tuning of Linux based database servers MYSQL, postgreSQL
· Good hand on experience of deployment and monitoring of squid, apache, mailman, wordpress, drupal, joomla, postfix mail services and sendmail relay
· Tune, monitor and implement Clustering of apache, tomcat and MYSQL services
· Deployment of applications on Linux / UNIX environments.
· Tune and monitor application and LINUX, UNIX and SuSe operating system performance
· Secures Linux system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.
· To work closely with other team members to advise on data center improvements
