Candidate will be responsible to manage a QuickBooks based Accounting system for a Development Sector NGO based in Karachi and all related activities associated with the running of an Accounts & Finance section of the organization.
- The main responsibilities will include, but not limited, to the following:
- Manage the financial accounting system based on QuickBooks (PC based) ensuring that all accounting, procedural, audit, taxation, Donor’s and statutory requirements are followed.
- Ensure completion of all procedural and accounting formalities in preparation of vouchers and associated paper work before posting in the system.
- Strictly follow all procedures in making sure that all payments are made in accordance with the guidelines and within allocated budget.
- Maintain an up to date General Ledger with all necessary audit trails.
- Develop and implement timely preparation of all financial statements and reports as required internally, by donors, Federal & State tax authorities and other statutory bodies.
- Deal with all tax related matters ensuring strict compliance.
- Maintain financial accounting system for cash management, accounts payable, advance payments, credit control and petty cash etc.
- Prepare and manage annual budget and prepare Actual Versus Budget reports periodically.
- Prepare and oversee all payroll functions to ensure that employees are paid in timely and accurate manner.
- Manage bank accounts and their regular reconciliation.
- Liaise and assist internal and external auditors, including the regular audits by donors.
