We are looking for a web designer who will be responsible for creating websites, this includes the design, layout and coding, this can mean working on a brand new website or updating an already existing site.
Responsibilities of the job include:
- · Meeting clients to identify their needs and liaising regularly with them
- · Drawing up detailed website specifications
- · Designing sample page layouts including text size and colours
- · Designing graphics, animations and manipulating digital photographs
- · Expert in Photoshop and Illustrator
- · Registering web domain names and organizing the hosting of the websites
- · Prepares site by installing and configuring server software; installing programming language using authoring and formatting tools; ensuring cross-platform compatibility; establishing links.
- · Presenting initial design ideas to client
- · Coding using a variety of software
- · Working with different content management systems like wordpress, magento, ecommerce websites etc,
- · Establishes locatability by registering with search engines
- · Proofreading content and grammar and making changes where necessary
- · Editing content, debugging code and re-designing web pages
- · Handing the completed website over to the client
- · Researching current design trends
- · Continual professional development to keep up to date with new software developments.
- · Developing skills and expertise in appropriate software/programming languages including html, Javascript and others
- · Know-how of using wordpress sliders like Revolution slider
- · working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
