Job Objective:
Leading and supervising the technical team to ensure efficient operations of the vesses CSD Raffy and allied equipment and machinery.
Authority:
Authorize to look after the whole technical team and delegate responsibilities and authority as required.
Main Responsibilities:
1. managing the operations, maintenance, inspection, testing and troubleshooting of all engineering-related systems and equipment throughout the vessel.
2. Supervise and direct the operations of the craft.
3. Supervise and direct all members of the technical team, maintenance and minor or emergency repair of the craft, auxiliaries' electrical equipment, steering engines, pumps and fuel tanks.
4. Ensuring that motors, auxiliary engines, generators, hydraulics, freshwater potable and non-potable water supply and compressed air circuits, etc. are in good working order.
5. Responsible for all operations and maintenance of all engineering equipment throughout the entire ship.
6. Supervise and direct the care, storage and use of fuel on board ship.
7. Ensure that machinery and systems are operated in accordance with safety management system requirements.
8. Responsible for the safe and continued running of the craft.
9. Detailed recording of engine parts and repairs.
10. Ensuring that staff is capable of maintaining high standards of performance.
11. Performs quality control checks, ensuring the safety and effectiveness or reliability of the system.
12. Negotiates with team members to generate ideas and clarify specifications.
13. Delegates tasks as necessary to the technical team.
14. Resolves disputes between team members.
Qualifications:
First Class Marine Engineer. (floating craft)
Skills
1. Can perform well in a working environment that is prone to seas.
2. Have no qualms about working with hazardous materials and dangerous equipment.
3. Can be absent from for prolonged periods.
4. Decision making.
5. Judgment.
6. Leadership.
