Senior Manager Transport Network Engineering

The ideal candidate should

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecom or Computer Sciences; a Master's degree will be given preference
• Should have a minimum of 8 years of work experience in the Telecom sector

Job Description

• Manage the Transport Engineering team including Optical, IP and MW & VAST infrastructure
• Manage MW Roll outs
• Plan CAPEX and OPEX Budget and prepare the transport network capacity requirement
• Manage the transport budget
• Manage the RFQ process for transport related equipment and services
• Manage Lased Lines utilization's
• Ensure smooth working of the transport network through capacity, planning, management and optimization of capacity needs
• Develop a long term strategy, vision, improvement and enhancement of the transport network infrastructure
• Coordinate with CA and evaluate the impact of any requirements/regulation/policies issued by PTA
• Streamline, monitor, improve and enhance business processes
• Coordinate with other Carriers for co-operation to minimize costs
• Ensure on time trainings

Essential Skills

• Should possess sound knowledge of Optical Networks and/or MW Networks
• Should have a 'designer' certificate from Juniper or CISCO
• Should possess good knowledge of VoIP
• Should have Planning & Designing experience in the transport network in Tier 1 operators
• Should have excellent communications skills
• Should be an excellent team player

Desirable Skills

• Should possess excellent negotiating skills in order to satisfy the customers
• Should be highly proficient in MS Office Suite
