The ideal candidate should
- Be a CA finalist having completed his/her article ship
- Have 3- 5 years of accounting work experience; (telecom experience would be preferred)
Job Description
- Supervise accounts receivables functions including party accounts management
- Book revenues and reconciliations with revenue reports and concerned departments (like revenue assurance and commercial)
- Develop an effective control mechanism to prevent and detect weaknesses on timely basis
- Perform variance analysis at a disaggregated level as a control tool and at dashboard level for senior management
- Report receivables ageing, monitoring and where appropriate, bring overdue accounts to the attention of the relevant operations managers and work with them for early and timely settlements
- Maintain records i.e., correspondence, written or otherwise, with clients whose accounts are overdue
- Ensure confidentiality of information and documents.
- Identify and bring to the attention of Manager, opportunities for improvement in policies or procedures that would make invoicing and collection more efficient and/or effective
- Manage timely identification of doubtful/unrecoverable debts
- Maintain effective liaison with customers for monitoring and reconciliation issues
- Align business processes with overall business objective
Essential Skills
- Should have sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in respective area
- Should be familiar with financial reporting requirements according to Companies Ordinance 1984
- Should have fair knowledge of Income and Sales Tax
Desirable Skills
- Should have strong communication skills
- Should have fair presentation skills
- Should possess knowledge of Oracle Financials
- Should be proficient in MS Office especially MS Excel, Word and Power Point
