- Have 4 to 5 years of relevant work experience in Procurement or related field
Job Description - Manage complete life-cycle of assigned requisition including floating RFP/Qs, calling Bids & carry out negotiations for Technical department projects.
- Identify procurement needs from end users and advise on products and service specification.
- Promote cost effective quality purchases of goods and services to end users, by utilizing innovative methods in carrying out negotiations.
- Procure the best product or services as per end user requirement at competitive prices for operational and civil work requirements related to technical department.
- Analyze purchase requisitions, develop RFP/RFQ strategy, review commercial bids and prepare Purchase Orders for assigned departments.
- Review Commercial Bid, negotiate terms & conditions and develop Purchase Order.
- Development of vendors as long term strategic business partners in co-ordination with the end users.
- Prepare case by making comparative statements such as Quotation Evaluation Statement (QES) & business case for approvals covering comparing prices, specifications, delivery time, warranty, quality etc.
- Participate in cross-functional meeting with internal customers for procurement planning.
- Execution and monitoring of all regular purchasing duties related to ongoing engineering requirements.
- Check and balance for final approved POs with mandatory clauses for alliance.
- Providing support to contract department on operational issues like price negotiation, vendor evaluation as and when required.
- Expanding vendor database via on-going market analysis and market visits.
- Oversee ongoing supplier evaluation in co-ordination with the end-user department.
- Furnish business and financial information concerning the project, as delegated by the senior manager.
Essential Skills - Be proficient in MS Office
- Have worked on Purchasing Module of an ERP System, Preferably Oracle Financials
- Have good negotiation skills
- Have strong inter personal skills
- Have good problem solving skills
- Have sound analytical, verbal and written Communication (English)

- Be a team player and eager to learn
