Assistant Vice President HR will be a broad-based human resource generalist with strategic insight and proven leadership experience in HR management. The AVP Human Resources will be responsible for developing, implementing and driving business transformation efforts in the areas of Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS), policies and procedures, processes, and analytics/reporting. This position will identify new technologies, tools and initiatives that will reduce cost, increase efficiency and improve HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct weekly meetings with respective business units.
  • Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed/required.
  • Develop and lead programs that drive organizational effectiveness and employee productivity. Specific considerations include: recruitment, retention, performance management; employee relations and development; leadership development, succession planning; organization design and development and workforce planning.
  • Provide day to day performance management guidance to line management
  • Provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Manage the design, development and implementation of automated processes associated with the full life-cycle of an employee from job requisitioning, recruiting, on-boarding, promotions, transfers, and pay rate changes to separations.
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from a well-reputed university.
  • Minimum 10 years of HR experience, including 05 years in a senior management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Employment Law, Compliance requirements, and the resolution of complex employee relation issues.
  • Strong expertise in process / project management, with ability to set and deliver upon HR strategies, actions and plans in support of business objectives.
  • Hands-on experience in creating and implementing solutions and strategies to improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
