Job Purpose:                                                     

  • Responsible to achieve regional institutional targets and expand pharma institutional business by maintaining cordial relationship with Principals, Institutions and promote a favorable & ethical company image    

Key Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                                                                 

  • Maintain adequate knowledge of competing brands viz., features, benefits, prices, pack sizes, etc.
  • Achieve 100% assigned Institutional Sales Targets for the region through Institutional Team                                        
  • Suggest / highlight changes in the Institutional sales trends in the region, with particular reference to the various Principals’ products being distributed by the company                                                                                                                  
  • Plan and implement strategies for securing maximum business from existing and new Institutions for the respective regions
  • Liaise with Business Manager Institutions and Institutional Sales Officers on an ongoing basis regarding opening of tenders at various institutions
  • Maintain strong liaison with respective Depot Staff for smooth operations
  • Compile regional market intelligence for discussion with BMI regarding competitors' prices of products at various institutions                                                              
  • Visit Institutions within the region, to discuss and analyse the needs of Institutions with regards to Company’s  service quality and take appropriate corrective measures (if required)                  
  • Using market intelligence, suggest effective rates / prices for tender bids to submit to the institutions. Also, identify and submit reasons for deviation of tender business  
  • Ensure orders are reviewed, executed and delivered smoothly to the institutions throughout the region as per their requirements  
  • Ensure product expiry, replacement related matters and credit policy are effectively communicated to concerned staff and ensure compliance with the Company Practices  
  • Monitor sales versus receivables data and ensure recoveries are made as per the Credit Policy                                                                     
  • Monitor and control expenses within the defined budgets     
  • Responsible for special projects and area assign by BMI
  • Provide leadership, motivation and on job training to the team and monitor improvement in business results and appraise teams' efforts accordingly
