Job Description:
- Install and/or clone Oracle databases to create/refresh development and test environments.
- Database administration using Oracle 10g/11g (11g preferred).
- Professional certification (eg. OCP) on Oracle 10g/11g (11g preferred).
- Administration of mission-critical production databases, including RAC configuration.
- SQL/PL/SQL performance tuning, using Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Management of Oracle Database on Linux/Unix environment.
- Linux/Unix shell scripting (RHEL5 preferred).
- Perform database upgrades as needed.
- Index and Data partitioning strategies.
- Database performance tuning.
- Perform scheduled backups and be able to restore and recover.
- Perform database patching for bug fixes, and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Ability to setup and monitor Data Guard.
- Experience with implementing and managing Active/Passive Oracle Database implementation using Oracle Data Guard and/or Golden Gate.
- Experience of Cloning and Patching, Performance Tuning, Oracle Database Enterprise Edition, Real Application Clusters (RAC) is a must.
- OEM 12c Cloud control knowledge is compulsory.
- Actively participate in production database support. Availibility for 24x7 on call rotation support. 0
Skills Required:
- Excellent communication skills with good academic record.
- Strong programming experience in PL/SQL and UNIX shell scripting.
- Expertise in Oracle 11g/12c, RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, PL/SQL.
- Experience of administering OEM.
- Ability to work on call to ensure 24x7 support of database operations.
- Experience with Monitoring & Diagnostic tools.
