Responsibilities Working under the guidance and supervision of the Advocacy and Communications Specialist and Senior Project Management, and in close coordination with the Communications Officer, she/he shall: 1. Participate in the development of the Detailed Work Plan for the Project and monitor its implementation 2. Update the Work plan as needed 3. Ensure that the work plan is implemented, targets are met and there is timely progress towards the achievements of objectives 4. Collaborate with the Advocacy and Communications Specialist, and set up weekly update meetings with project staff to share progress of work and plans for the following week 5. Develop weekly monitoring reports on project progress 6. Liaise with the Communications Officer to ensure timely availability of advocacy materials 7. Organize implementation of advocacy activities including logistical arrangements for all meetings and large scale project-related events such as seminars and workshops 8. Maintain regular contact with District Focal Persons, including monitoring their output and providing them guidance as necessary in the performance of their duties 9. Undertake travel to field sites as required 10. Carry out any additional functions as and when required to achieve the objectives of the project Knowledge and Skills - Understanding of maternal and reproductive health issues in Pakistan
- Sensitivity to maternal and reproductive health issues at the community level
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Strong networking and organizational skills
- Strong report writing skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office, Internet)
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Urdu
Qualifications and Experience - BS/BA degree from a reputable university(preferably in one of the health sciences, i.e., Medicine, Public Health,Midwifery, Nursing)
- Training in Administration/Management
- 2-3 years work experience in health/population/development sector
