Business Analysts

A Business Analyst works directly with our global customers in various time zones and diverse cultural backgrounds as part of project teams. Job involves identifying change needs, assessing the impact of the change, capturing and documenting requirements and then ensuring that those requirements are delivered by Development Team whilst supporting the business through the implementation process.

Expectations & Tasks

An Analyst is expected to independently initiate and perform following tasks:

a) End to end owner of the requirements from gap analysis phase to delivery into Production environment

b) Help the PM in planning the business analysis activities.

c) Keep track of requirements throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)

d) Be able to conduct end to end demos of NetSol products

e) Perform gap analysis workshop

f) Be part of the project team throughout the delivery to perform the following activities.

i. Help the development and QA team in clarifying the requirements / gaps.

ii. Participate in the impacts activities.

iii. Review the FS to ensure that the requirements / gaps have been translated into appropriate solution for the client.

iv. Review the test cases from completeness and correctness perspective to ensure that all of the requirements and the business scenarios have been catered for by the QA team during their test planning.

v. Perform business scenario testing during the development phase with the assistance of QA team to ensure that the development team has developed the system correctly based on the requirements from the customer.

vi. Be part of the UAT process to help the customer in the UAT testing phase.

vii. Maintain the requirement traceability matrix to ensure that the requirements are being catered for in each phase of the SDLC

Education and Competences

· Accounting & finance education

· Good knowledge of lease & finance industry

· Good knowledge of lease accounting under international accounting standards / principles

· Excellent financial mathematics involving Time value of Money concepts and calculations

· Excellent Communication and presentation skills

· Ability to listen to others with an open mind

· Excellent English Language both verbal and written

· Strong problem solving abilities

· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Visio

· Quick Learner – should be able to learn the business domain and new business very quickly

· Willingness to frequently travel abroad

· Willingness to work in different time zones to meet timelines

· Should not hesitate to roll up his / her sleeves and run the system and validate the requirements

· Positive attitude – willing to work as part of the delivery team.

· Highly organized

· Values team work over personal gains

· Takes ownership of his / her area

· Thorough professional with strong work ethics with no personal agendas

· Integrity - Should be honest and have strong moral principles
