| Job Description: |
|
- Develop core technology, including active participation in the design/architecture of new solutions, the refinement of existing code, and the optimization of dynamic web content.
- Work with business and operations teams to effectively execute requests in the project queue.
- Write design specifications, programming specifications, and documentation
- Develop and maintain applications written in Java/J2EE platform environment, operating on a Linux/Apache platform.
- Develop systems and APIs for interfacing with open and proprietary network services and complex business logic/algorithms
- Design, deliver, develop and implement features and functionalities or large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems and services
- Be responsible for one or more key subsystems of business web applications
- Collaborate with product management to produce functional specifications, including feasibility assessments, engineering time estimates, and strategic value assessments
- Write unit and functional tests and documentation for the projects/tools
- Gather and analyze business and functional requirements, and translate requirements into technical specifications for robust, scalable, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture
- Recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards
- Accomplish aggressive goals and meet strict deadlines
- Remain current on technical and professional developments affecting area of responsibility
- Proactively assess new technologies to enhance the development process and environment
