- Sound knowledge of working with video and audio editing software.
- Finding out about the needs of the project from the client.
- Examine raw footage received by Client and decide which shots to keep and which to cut out.
- Cut and join shots using editing software.
- Keep a clear idea of the storyline, even though you may be editing scenes out of sequence.
- Create a 'rough cut' from the chosen material.
- Digitally enhance picture quality.
- Using computer software to add titles, graphics, and visual effects.
- Using audio software to enhance audio and add/delete sound effects.
- Put all the elements together, in order, for the final version.
- Produce videos in format asked by Client.
