  • · Lead two ‘Sewing’ classes every day for a group of 12-17 women each class.
  • · To teach sewing along with other arts & crafts activities.
  • · To provide instruction and demonstration of basic stitching, use of basic patterns for bags, cushion covers and clothing items, means for mending damaged clothing and other alterations, basic machine use, and basic machine maintenance.
  • · To introduce different sewing styles to sew and create finished product to the students.
  • · To provide recommendation for amending the Syllabus to the Department Head.
  • · To prepare course material such as homework assignments, and handouts.
  • · Schedule, timetable with the Coordination of Head Design Department.
  • · To liaise regularly with the department head to advice on course developments or requirements, and to promptly report on any concern.
  • · Responsible for Development of sewing lesson plans for students in coordination with Head Design Department.
  • · Responsible for Conducting quizzes and practical exams.
  • · To maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
  • · To evaluate and grade students' class work, projects, assignments, and papers..
  • · To advise students on academic and vocational curricula and on career issues.
  • · To participate in student recruitment, registration, and selection of the internees for the design and production department.
  • · Motivated and encouraged students to participate in design and production department internship to improve sewing skills.
  • · To perform administrative duties.
  • · To submit requisitions to the department head for any purchases.
  • · To ensure safe and appropriate use of all equipment.
  • · Must ensure the quality of the final projects of the student with the design head.
  • · Responsible for cleanliness of the Stitching unit.
  • · Must assist the design Incharge in the production.
  • · Reporting to the Design Incharge about the daily or weekly class progress.
  • · Perform any duty assigned by the Department Head.
