Job Description
- · Translates operating forecasts into material requirement plans and thereby determines standard stock and recorder levels with department’s head and management
- · Participates in negotiation for service contracts
- · Identifies and develops reliable sources of supply
- · Establishes adequate record keeping and issuance procedures as described in the Materials Manager's Manual
- · Preparing CER'S as outlined in policy and procedures manual
- · Ensures that market surveys are completed in coordination with the Executive Chef, F&B Manager and Cost Controller
- · Monitors vendor reliability and estahlishes contacts with prospective vendors
- · Updates price quotations regularly and secures delivery of all market list items
- · Obtains price quotations on all stock terms at re-order point on other materials as needed, selects the vendors, obtains the necessary approvals, documents and places the order
