The Proposal Writing & Documentation Officer will support on the technical side of the humanitarian programme implementation in line with the strategic direction of Poverty Alliance Welfare Trust

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Proposal Writing & Documentation Officer will perform the following functions-

  • Responsible for writing proposals for new projects in various sectors.
  • Ensure that quality humanitarian projects reports are produced in line with donor compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with documentation team and ensuring reports meet donor requirements, are submitted on time as well as the finance team to ensure that both financial and narrative are compliant to donor requirements.
  • Represent PAWT at various clusters and other relevant key inter-agency meetings when other relevant staff cannot.
  • Document the on-going programs and circulate information internally and externally, as appropriate and will contribute to humanitarian response efforts.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • Education to graduate level.
  • Prior experience of writing proposals.
  • Prior experience of working with clusters.
  • Demonstrable ability to work and represent views across different stakeholders taking part in the Education Clusters.
  • Experience of high level co-ordination of meetings.
  • Demonstrable understanding of co-ordination mechanisms.
  • Gender sensitive, experience in treating gender issues in the scope of work.
  • Strong influencing skills and experience in advocacy, desirable.
  • High level of written and spoken in English.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
