Job Description

Premier American School (PAS) is a world-class educational venture established by American International School System in Lahore with its head office and Advisory Board based in New Jersey USA. Based on international standards of education excellence, PAS would be adopting best features of American & British Education systems while spreading network of schools major cities of Pakistan.

Objectives

The position of Marketing & Admissions Manager is an important role in the School as Admissions is often the first point of contact to the School, and the individual will be responsible for further developing and delivering the School’s marketing strategy in order to meet the students roll targets.

Main Responsibilities

·         Development of Strategic Marketing Plan

·         Develop and Deliver short term Marketing Plans

·         Conducting a Product Survey & Market Study

·         Brand Development and presentation to related forums

·         Handle all the marketing and advertising needs of the School

·         To build professional relations with other organizations

Admissions

o    Coordinate all students Admissions to the school including:

o    Initial contact

o    Sending out Prospectus, ensuring inserts updated

o    Arranging initial visits and tour

o    Keep the Principal, staff and Director informed

o    Ensuring all Registration, Acceptance Forms and Joining Details are accurately completed and collect monies due

o    Following up of all Admissions enquiries

o    To organize and distributing Surveys for parents and pupils as required

o    Attend planning meetings as required 

o         In conjunction with the Principal’s PA, maintain and develop the school database for students, staff and Director and circulate contact details as required

o         Coordinate morning school transport and keep drivers and parents informed as required

o         Keep all documentation/records up-to-date and in order

o         Annual update of Parents Handbook and other literature

o         Coordinate all staff Admissions to the school including:

o    Assist with the preparation of Offer Letters

o    Ensure all references, Health Questionnaires, and any other documentation required are followed-up

o         To carry out duties as the Principal or Director may from time to time determine to fall within the remit of the post, and attend courses as required

Marketing Responsibilities

o         Marketing strategy

o    Preparation of annual marketing plan and expenditure, together with termly submission of reports on activity and expenditure to the Director

o    Branding and exploring sponsorship opportunities

o    Market research as and when required

o         Advertising/ Press releases/ Social Media:

o    Coordination of all photography, production of adverts/ fliers, and liaison with the media

o    Website development and maintenance

o    Regular updates on the School’s Twitter and Facebook accounts

o         Coordinate all Open Days and Pop In Mornings including:

o    Advertising, alterations to banners, liaison with staff, mailshots and emails

o    Coordination of the production of the termly school magazine Highlights

o    Draft and design various booklets and flyers to support the Marketing strategy

o    Prospectus

Other responsibilities

o    Providing general PR and Marketing advice to the Principal and Director

o    Liaise with the Principal and Director with regard to scholarship

o    Work with the SAP – the School Parent Association

o    Archive all media coverage

·         To carry out duties as the Principal or Director may from time to time determine to fall within the remit of the post, and attend courses as required

General Office Duties

Shared responsibilities:

·         Work effectively as part of the Administration/ Office team providing support where required

·         Answer telephone, take messages and monitor answer phone specific to Admissions

·         Building professional relations with parents

·         Liaise with staff, students and parents

·         Keep the reception area tidy with decor and current school literature

Skills Required

·         Knowledge and experience of the Admissions process in an independent school

·         Knowledge and experience of Marketing including the preparation and delivering of marketing strategies, and the effective management of a marketing budget

·         The ability to use statistics and Database management

·         A high degree of computer literacy (particularly Microsoft Office applications)

·         An excellent telephone manner

·         Good organizational skills and the ability to priorities and manage tasks

·         An eye for details and accuracy
