Business Analyst

Job Description
Responsibilities:

• Learn and understand functionality of our loan accounting software.
• Learn and understand relevant accounting policies and pronouncements that impact accounting operations and processes.
• Analyze the impacts of ongoing software enhancements and changes as they pertain to accounting operations.
• Concisely summarize and clearly articulate issues/conclusions.
• Identify opportunities and implement solutions to increase team efficiency
• Generate ad-hoc reports on transactional and data from the data systems.
• Supervise and manage a team of Analysts in the monthly processing of their work

Minimum Professional and Technical Skills:

• Understanding of the basic loan accounting functionality
• Ability to run and operate database systems
• Solid understanding of accounting concepts (debits/credits, general ledger etc.)
• Must have excellent analytical skills with an ability to quickly understand and research accounting issues and provide solutions.
• Working knowledge and understanding of relational database, SQL, and data manipulation
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time with little supervision
• Demonstrates proficiency in MS office programs, specifically MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint
• Must be a motivated, team player committed to achieving high quality results in a timely and efficient manner.
• Flexibility to work extra hours during peak monthly processing times – with flexible arrangements during off peak times

Minimum Education, Certification, Training:

• ACCA, CFA, Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
