Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Provincial Coordinator-Sindh, the Program Officer will support the flood emergency response by supporting information management, team coordination and planning.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in collecting, compiling and organizing the flow of information from the emergency response, including updates on programs coming from the field;
  2. Attend Sukkur cluster meetings on behalf of IRC, and ensure the flow of information to and from the same;
  3. Background information collection and organization on the broader flood emergency response;
  4. In coordination with the Information and Communications Team, support the maintenance of a programs MIS;
  5. Update program information and support in developing relevant project documentation, including monthly/quarterly reports, monitoring tools, fact sheets etc.
  6. Support planning and coordination with teams, including organization and support of Humanitarian Program Meetings, information dissemination;
  7. Collect, compile and disseminate program work plans;
  8. Support the development and maintenance of program resource libraries in Islamabad, field offices and electronically;
  9. Provide general administrative support to Provincial Coordinator;
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by the Provincial Coordinator for Programs.
 
Skills Required
Candidate must be proficient and resourceful enough to fill most customer requirements like:
 
Education

Master Degree in Economics/Social Sciences

Experience

2-3 years work experience in program Management.

Skills

-Ability to keep clear and concise records.
-Good written and spoken English.
-Effective communication and negotiation skills.
-Sound knowledge of MS-Office package.
-Willingness to travel to project sites.
-Native Sindhi language will be added advantage
