Job Description:

Under the guidance of the Deputy Director for Program Design and Quality, this position is responsible for oversees all grant management and reporting functions for IRC Pakistan as well as supporting the DDP/DQ to promote program quality through ensuring that projects meet IRC’s Program Standards in design. The Program Development Coordinator will work closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator to strengthening monitoring and evaluation capacity to ensure accountability and inform program quality as well as with the Deputy Director for Program Implementation, Senior Program Coordinators and sector coordinators to ensure effective grant management including timely and quality reports.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide overall management of IRC Pakistan's grant reporting and management functions, including supervision of the Grants Officer.
  2. Assist in the proposal development process to ensure that new proposals and budgets are of high quality, developed in accordance with donor requirements and IRC program strategies, and submitted in a timely manner.
  3. Facilitate development of logistical and budgetary input to statements of interest, concept notes, and proposals.
  4. Write/edit proposals/concept notes, coordinate Technical Unit input, NY/UK input/approval, and submit proposals to the donors.
  5. Work with senior program staff and the M&E Coordinator to develop and implement monitoring tools which can be used to track performance and inform improvements to program quality.
  6. Provide training to technical and field staff on donor requirements and best program design and reporting practices where needed.
  7. Serve as the focal point, in coordination with the DDP/DQ and other Senior Country Office staff, for all donor relations, grants/program development related issues as needed.
  8. Represent IRC in donor meetings and conduct presentations on IRC programs, as and when required.
  9. In coordination with the Grants Officer, to maintain and update the Grants Tracking Sheet (GTS) and Monthly Financial Report (FM01) as it relates to concept notes and proposals; bring attention to any outstanding issues to respective Coordinators/Managers.
  10. Participate in professional training and development activities, as needed or requested.
  11. Foster a positive and productive professional work environment and professional relationships amongst staff; facilitate productive working relationships between the field office and other IRC offices and teams.
  12. Contribute to strategic and sector planning.
  13. Represent IRC positively and professionally in both internal and external relations and situations.
  14. Perform other duties as necessary and/or as requested.
 
Skills Required
Candidate must be proficient and resourceful enough to fill most customer requirements like:
 
Education
Graduate/Master Degree, MPA, MBA in relevant field.

Experience
At least two years working experience in a similar position and at least four years working experience in an International Organization.

Skills
-Experience in or knowledge of conflict related programming.
-Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
-Good knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) & MS Project
