Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of required English language courses.
  • Develop courses for English for Specific Purposes/Professional/Technical Writing classes.
  • Supervise the thirty member faculty and staff of the Center.
  • Conduct teacher training workshops and professional development seminars.
  • Develop planning and appraisal reports.
  • Teach 4-5 courses per annum.
  • Address the general needs of approximately fourteen hundred students who take the required English courses each semester.

Experience:

  • Teaching/Research experience as per HEC criteria at the rank of associate/assistant professor.
  • Minimum two years of supervisory/teacher training experience.
 
Skills Required
Candidate must be proficient and resourceful enough to fill most customer requirements like:
 
- Familiarity with the language learning programs and methodologies practiced in the US and UK.

- Demonstrated excellence in developing as well as teaching EFL (English as a Foreign Language), ESP (English for Specific Purposes), English Composition, and Communication courses.

- Expertise in assessing, evaluating, and addressing the needs of the university to promote English language proficiency on campus.

- Ability to attract and retain top notch faculty.

- Experience in the use of latest education technology and web based learning.

- Proven record of dynamism and innovation in the field of language learning.

- Excellent writing and spoken skills (native level proficiency expected).

- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
