Job Description

• Administer database in Oracle and SQL Server
• Create and maintain all databases required for development, testing, education and production usage
• Work in a Windows and Linux environment
• Conduct Oracle and operating system performance monitoring with the necessary adjustments
• Control migrations of PL/SQL programs, database changes, and reference data changes through the development life cycle

Essential Skills

• Should have a sound knowledge of SQL
• Should be proficient in database administration and performance tuning of Oracle and SQL Server
• Should be familiar with backup recovery for Oracle and SQL Server databases
• Should possess strong knowledge of physical database design and data loading in Oracle/SQL Server
• Should be familiar with Linux Administration

Desirable Skills

• Should have a clear understanding of database design and development
• Should be familiar with software development in Java
• Should have the ability to effectively communicate with the management, development teams, vendors, systems administrators and other related service providers
• Should be highly proficient in Windows Server and Linux OS
