AIMS International, a registered charity in the United Kingdom and AIMS Pakistan in collaboration withDiabetes Association of Pakistan KPK have launched the first phase of Peshawar Diabetes Hospital &Research Center (PDH&RC) at Hayatabad Peshawar. The PDH & RC aims to achieve excellence in diabeticcare by providing Total Diabetic Care under one roof.
MAIN PURPOSE: The main purpose of the position is to plan, design, lead, coach and coordinate the development andimplementation of the overall medical content, strategies, activities and resources for the PeshawarDiabetes Hospital & Research Center in order to facilitate the delivery of quality diabetic care for thetarget population initially in and around Peshawar and subsequently in the entire province of KPK toimprove their health condition and access to diabetic care at facility and community level.
MISSION AND RESPONSIBILITIES: He/she guarantees the appropriate development, implementation and management of all aspects of thePDH&RC in the mission, ensuring the achievement of the objectives set. This will be done in closecollaboration with the Team Leader/Chief Executive of PDH&RC, members of the advisory board, theHealth Department KPK and other local authorities while following the corporate PDH&RC ethos andvalues, health policies, protocols, and operational plan.
He/she is responsible to define, monitor and update the strategic, medical content of the PDH&RCpolicy and annual plan and budget by scanning health needs through exploratory missions andimplementation of health information system.
He/she is responsible to define and size all resources (Health work force, pharmacy and medicalequipment management in collaboration with other departments) and timelines, procedures andprotocols in order to efficiently achieve the medical objectives in the PDH&RC, exploratory missions, andpotential expansion in the project.
He/she is responsible to coach, and directly supports the PDH&RC staff, medical teams and volunteers inthe implementation of the medical activities, translating the PDH&RC vision into project objectives and activities.
He/she is responsible for coordination with Department of Health KPK, potential donors and other localand international partners to secure their support for achieving PDH&RC objectives as highlighted thePDH&RC Master Plan.
