Main Purpose of the role
To receive, store and secure all supplies brought in to the pharmacy under his/her control. To ensure that proper documentation is maintained for all stocks.
Responsibilities
•Ensure the maintenance of medicine and medical equipments stock and storage as per Merlin drug management guidelines
•Keep and maintain the daily pharmacy register.
•Prepare and keep daily, weekly and monthly consumption documents
•Follow the advices of the medical doctor in filling out medical prescriptions.
•Maintain the stock register and the minimum stock level of medicine as per need
•Provide regular updates of medical stock, drug consumption and monthly requests to the Medical Doctor and to the pharmacy Supervisor
•Provide feedback to the medical doctor/medical supervisor in issues related to the drug management, expiry dates, stock and monthly supply of the health facility.
•Ensure quality control of medicine and medical equipments in the health facility
