Main Purpose of Job
The Field Engineer based in Rajanpur would be expected to provide support to our Rajanpur Programs in accordance with QC guidelines. He will be responsible for Working with communities through QC social mobilization Unit and design local projects in accordance with QC vision, mission and objectives. Following this, (s)he is to follow QC systems and procedures in technical issues; mainly related to organizational development.
Major Tasks
As part of the Support Unit and under the direct supervision of the Program Engineer, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide technical engineering information and interpretation of plans, detail sheets and specifications for the successful implementation of the projects
- Provide daily/weekly reporting regarding projects.
- Full working knowledge of surveying techniques and procedures is necessary
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, planning, implementation and technical feasibility for project proposals
- Determine staff input and time requirements for project construction, implementation and supervision
- She/he shall at all times know progress of the ongoing projects with respect to planning and should be able to give details of why project ahead/behind schedule at all times
- Provide complete support during supervision of constructions; carry out quality control inspections and monitor progress
- Develop standard drawings, bills of quantities and detail materials list for projects
- Provide basic technical trainings to the local communities for the sustainability of ongoing projects.
- Where possible develop and propose new projects

Qualifications and Competencies
- Degree/B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Good Experience in Auto CAD will be preferred.
- Minimum 2 3 years experience in construction (development Sector).
- Good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Position will require frequent travel project sites on a regular basis.
- Understand and write English language
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in Local Language
- An ability to work towards deadlines and independently
- Report writing skills
