Main Tasks & Responsibilities As part of the Programme Unit and under the direct supervision of the Programme Coordinator, the incumbent of the post will have the following responsibilities:
- Close Coordination with Programme team for timely implementation of QC livelihoods interventions.
- Undertake field visits, and surveys in order to deliver the livelihoods Programme
- Prepare reports on the areas where QC work can be carried out using specific tools for gathering data, prepare the evaluation phases and implement the recommendation.
- Participates in establishing effective monitoring, information and reporting systems, and in the development of communication materials and strategies to promote livelihood interventions in communities.
- To conduct surveys and assessment in the thematic area (livelihoods) in different parts of Rajanpur (and sometimes in other districts where QC is working or planning to intervene)
- To design and develop project proposal in the livelihood sector for QC in Pakistan
- To design livelihood strategies for early recovery of the post conflict population of Rajanpur and also for sustainable livelihood
- To innovate and design new projects in the light of lessons learned in the field development phase in Rajanpur district.
- To document and design monitoring systems to see the impact of early recovery and QC interventions
- Support the Social Mobilization team in developing a detailed implementation plan for the livelihood sector of QC
- To design and conduct trainings for field staff and beneficiaries in the proposed interventions in the livelihood sector
- To coordinate and liaise with government line departments
- Develop linkages with both Government line departments, NGOs and private sector organizations to ensure that technical assistance to be provided by the line departments and private sector organizations reaches the relevant NGOs and community-based organizations and vice versa.
- Develop, compile and regularly update the livelihoods data-base at the district level
- Share the updated matrix and capacity building plans regularly with the district-level Livelihood Working Groups (LWG) and seek their feedback and/or endorsement
- Identify, with LWG, the villages/Union Councils where livelihood rehabilitation activities are not taking place, and work towards ensuring that these locations are covered appropriately
- Assist the Program Coordinator in other tasks and perform other related duties as required by the Senior Management and other donors
- Submit daily, weekly & monthly reports to the supervisor
Qualification, Knowledge and other Special Skills
- Masters in Social Sciences preferably in Agriculture, DVM, Development Studies, Rural Development or in any other relevant discipline.
- Good Communication Skills with 3 to 4 years experience in the similar capacity.
- Knowledge of English and Urdu, Knowledge of local language is also desirable.
- Strong communication and computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets and data-bases)
Language skills
- Effective verbal and listening communications skills.
- Excellent Communication skills in English, Urdu and Local Language.
