Main Purpose of Job
The VTC Trainer based in Leepa would be expected to conduct need assessment surveys in knitting stitching, identification and finalization of potential participants, design vocational trainings modules arrangement, conduction of trainings, certificates preparation, follow up of the activities, identification and establishment of entrepreneurs and implementation of apprenticeship program, assist Field Coordinator in data analysis, interpretation, report development and assist in developing program scope at differenet level.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
As part of the Programmes Unit and under the direct supervision of the Field Coordinator, the incumbent of the post will have the following responsibilities:
• To design need assessment questionnaire for training need assessment of stitching, knitting and handicrafts;
• To identify target communities and potential participants for trainings and entrepreneurs development and implementation of apprenticeship program;
• To design vocational training modules, make arrangements, conduction of training, certificates etc.
• To mobilize and motivate the training participants to make use of training in effective manner for income generation;
• To establish and develop good mutual understanding, cooperation and trust between Qatar Charity and the target communities;
• To participate in regular community meetings and explain them the Qatar Charity and Livelihood interventions from time to time;
• To maintain a cordial working relations with communities;
• To maintain soft and hard data base of all the interventions and the participants for record;
• To maintain record files of all the trainings and entrepreneurs for audit.
• To prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, yearly work plans and progress reports;
• To develop linkages with the Govt. departments, line agencies, INGOs and NGOs.
• To assist communities towards sustainability of activities.
