MISSION

To lead overall sales function and to strategically plan sustainability and growth of the products/services. To secure new profitable travel accounts in accordance with annual budgeted targets. Facilitate client development and awareness through marketing and client services programs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales

  • Assisting Head Office in setting Sales budgets and targets.
  • Achieving set target within the projected timelines by quarterly monitoring and evaluating the market situation.
  • Keeping abreast with the updated product & service information and educating the relevant teams accordingly.
  • Liaise with the Operations team, Finance and Credit Collection Department for process related, pricing and credit related issues.
  • Vigilantly monitor the department’s target.
  • Provide assistance where ever required.

Marketing

  • Develop product/ service awareness programs for internal and external stakeholders (employees, clients, vendors etc.) and ensure implementation.
  • Design, implement, and facilitate annual marketing plan for the Company. Support and facilitate development and implementation of section business/marketing plans.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for the Company’s branding specially the partnership with Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
  • Ensure consistency in the marketing strategies of the product/services that we offer and fulfill basic standards including Company’s marketing material, website etc.

Business Development

  • Evaluate the local markets within the territory on a current and future basis analyzing competitive information and strategies..
  • Develop and implement Sales strategy for short and long term in order to maintain the current clientele and to attract new business.
  • Contribute to the design, production and effective delivery of high quality sales presentations and proposals to prospective customers in accordance with agreed guidelines.
  • Produce and distribute introductory letters accompanied by approved point of sale material and to follow up such letters with the aim of securing an appointment / sales visit.
  • Ensure all appointments and proposals illustrate CWT in a highly professional yet competitive light with the end goal of securing the prospective business within an agreed pricing range.
  • Be responsible for updating and amending increasing the customer database and ensure that CWT is included on the tender list of each major potential client within the territory.
  • Provide information and advice on the submission of proposals and assist/attend with the production and presentation of major tenders, whether or not directly involved.
  • Liaise with Branch, Regional or designated Program Management for the implementation and hand-over plan of “new” sold business.

Team Management

  • Responsible for building a highly qualified team that can represent the company appropriately
  • Team retention.
  • Responsible for department members training on company products and services
  • Supervising, motivating and monitoring team performance.
  • Coordinate with the human resource department for appropriate staffing level.
  • Feedback on the way-forward and performance of the teams directly or indirectly related to the function.
  • Participate in HR activities and keep the team abreast with the HR activities

Market Awareness:

  • Understanding customer needs
  • Knowing what competitors are doing
  • Studying market (suppliers, customers, competitors)
  • Suggesting opportunities to the client based on market knowledge and practices
  • Explaining market trends to customer Knows what competitors are doing
  • Understanding customer strategy, and buying tactics and practices
Note: Experience in Corporate Sales is a pre-requisite
