We're looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer to join our growing team at RCAPPS. The ideal candidate should have previous experience supporting enterprise level applications with Amazon Web Services. You should love building and running large-scale web production systems. You should feel excited about troubleshooting problems as well as improving the reliability of systems. An AWS certification is a definite plus.
Skills & Requirements:
Here are some general skills and requirements that we're looking for:
- Provide subject matter expertise and technical direction, play a leading role in the assessment of suitability for cloud services, product deployment and automation opportunities
- Hands-on technical experience in development
- Continuous integration, continuous delivery, and configuration management automation tools (Hudson, Jenkins, CruiseControl, Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible, etc.)
- Programming in Python, Ruby, Java, C#, or similar
- Command line experience with Linux and/or Windows
- AWS DevOps Automation (CloudTrail, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, OpsWorks, IAM, EC2, Route 53, S3, RDS, SES, VPC, etc.)
- Crafting DevOps solutions that leverage AWS and internal products/service capabilities to meet customer’s most critical requirements
- Experience deploying and managing MySQL databases
- Host virtualization & containerization (Docker)
- Experience with Apache or Nginx
- Implement monitoring and metrics to alert the operations team to issues
- Troubleshoot issues across the whole stack - hardware, software, applications and network
- Implement robust security measures for all infrastructure components including monitoring and responding to attacks on our systems
- Ability to work concurrently on several projects, each with specific instructions that may differ from project to project
- Skilled at rapidly picking up and using new tools and techniques
- · Actively research and incorporate the newest innovations where there is value and/or efficiencies for using these technologies
- Strong leadership skills. Must be able to function as a team leader as well as an individual contributor
