Overview & Responsibilities:
Require technically very sound individual who is experienced SharePoint Developer with extensive Cloud and Virtualization experience. Worked on various cloud stacks including open stack.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Key Accountabilities:
- Should be an experienced technical leader, with good communication, and excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Develops and uses tools for systems and infrastructure automation.
- Works in conjunction with multiple teams to make sure that the infrastructure and the applications that depend on it work harmoniously together.
- Responsible for adhering to company security policies and procedure as directed.
- Troubleshooting system service issues and OS level issues.
- Handling issues elevated from the Cloud/Product Operations Admin teams.
- Making recommendations to management on desirable additions and developments for systems.
- Responsible for complex architectural design and development of hardware, software and networking systems.
- Ensures completeness and compatibility of the technical infrastructure to support system performance.
- Creates technical documents for operational use.
- Assists in mentoring junior engineers and admins.
Qualifications
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Essential:
- Experience collaborating with developers and operations in DevOps enabled environments.
- Expert level problem solving abilities, coupled with a desire to take on responsibility.
- Advanced technical knowledge in technology methodologies, design, and implementation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with great attention to detail
- Able to resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Expert knowledge of Linux , Configuration Management, Database Administration (MySQL and NoSQL technologies), Firewalls, Mail, Advanced Scripting Languages.
- Passion for Open Source development and systems automation.
- Comfortable working in open source communities and interacting across mailing lists.
- Advanced knowledge on scalable and distributed systems
- Must be self driven with the ability to manage position without much supervision
- A good level of business awareness and commercial acumen
- A general understanding of agile development principles
- Proficient in Python and understanding of a second language (eg. Ruby etc).
- Linux operating system/application development
- Understanding of IT industry working practices / methodologies.
- Previous experience with OpenStack.
- Knowledge in virtualized networking, SDN eg. VXLAN, STT and others
Desirables:
-Technical certifications (e.g MySQL and CCNA) or equivalent knowledge required
- High level ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work in order to maintain required productivity levels
- Must be detailed in documenting information and practice good follow through technique
- Strong rapport and relationship building skills with both internal departments and external customers
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering related field or equivalent work experience.
