Job Description:

Essential Functions

  • Demonstrates and applies a thorough and accurate knowledge of the teaching field and discipline;
  • Assists with pilot instruction, evaluation, and course revision as needed;
  • Assists with course revision and/or redesign in order to facilitate the development of effective competency-based learning outcomes;
  • Researches new courses/technology, evaluates them and revises, as appropriate;
  • Develops, coordinates and teaches required activities, as needed;
  • Attempts to connect subject matter with related fields;
  • Modifies instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse students’ needs;
  • Works to ensure incorporation of new instructional technologies and strategies in lecture and activities/projects areas;
  • Encourages the development of communication skills and higher order thinking skills through appropriate assignments;
  • Contributes to the selection and development of instructional materials;
  • Organize and manage resources responsibly, including but not limited to, Robotics kits parts, cameras for taking pictures and capturing videos, iPad, installation CDs and DVDs, other hardware and software.
  • Develops and uses evaluation methods, which fairly measure student progress toward outcomes;
  • Assists with data collection and evaluation to meet project objectives;
  • Maintains familiarity with and adheres to company policies and procedures;
  • Maintains regular office hours to ensure accessibility to students and colleagues;
  • Fosters and maintains effective working relationships with students, colleagues, and management;
  • Maintains familiarity with institutes goals, mission, and long-range plans;
  • Maintains confidentiality of information exposed to in the course of business regarding students, management or other employees;
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Minimum Education, Skills and Abilities

  • Hold a bachelors in Computer/Mechatronics/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Leadership skills and skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with peers, other departments, students and the public;
  • Ability to work within an open and team environment;
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English as it is the required medium of instruction;
  • Strong computer skills.
