Lead, manage, develop and motivate the School based Administration, Academic administrative, faculty and school support team in a manner consistent with RIS policies, procedures, culture and rules. Strategically develop support, resources, faculty and standards of academic excellence to ensure the adequate provision of academic, administrative and financial support for all School or region based initiatives and operations.

The role of the school manager is the backbone of school operations, and is key is to the academic, administrative and financial success of the school or region. The School Manger role encompasses all responsibilities, procedures, rules, policies to be implemented from tasks as broad as Event management, school coordination, attendance, reporting, inter school communications, public relations, school calendar, school development, audit and financial reporting to the CEO on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.

School Managers are a bridge between the HEADOFFICE and BRANCH. You have multiple facets of your job and you must ensure an effective communication and information bridge between all stakeholders Branch Head, Teachers, Aacademic Coordinator, School Coordinator, Examination and Resource Officer, Parents, Students and Persons and Organisations external to the school. You are the primary contact between all Head Office departments and you need to ensure effective enforcement of all guidelines and policy intructions on regular basis. Without your contriubution it is unlikely to support an effective school management function.

To work in a close relationship with the Section Head or principal to ensure the smooth functioning of the whole department (O levels/ Alevels).

 

  • Maintain a database for the whole faculty.
  • Working closely on time tables with the Coordinator and Head.
  • Execution of projection plan for the upcoming sessions.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the teacher’s performance planner wise.
  • Maintain attendance record for part time and permanent teachers.
  • To keep and maintain the registration process for final examinations.
  • To keep a record for Cambridge results.
  • Maintaining a personal record for each student and faculty member.
  • Facilitating quiries of staff and student and communicating it to the concerned departments in Head Office.
  • To support Head of the department to ensure the effective planning for upcoming events.
  • Maintain discipline in couridoors while school is functional.
  • To ensure the scheduals with faculty.
  • To arrange class rooms and Multimedia for prep classes needed
  • To process the student ID cards data.
  • To ensure the discipline in classes.
  • Regular check on Students Uniforms on daily bases.
  • To charge a fine to students who are involved in discriminating the RIS policies.
  • To arrange and conduct Parents Teacher Meetings.
  • To file students results for sessional examinations.
  • To conduct sessional and mid term examinations in campus.
  • To manage seating arrangments in examination conduction.
  • To support in arranging extra curricular activities in campus and outside the branch.
  • To ensure administrative support on any event inside the campus.
  • Arrange annual function like parent’s day, teacher training workshops, oral hygiene etc.
  • · Venue / Auditorium booking for the event.
  • · Distribution of Invitation cards to students, parents, dignitaries, notables & media.
  • · Venue decoration (Balloons, skins, stemmers, promotional material, brouchers, roots news, rootsians etc)
  • · Arrangement of sponsors for school function.
  • · Arrange the Entertainment and refreshment for guests.
  • · Maintain a clean, professional, friendly and an academic centered environment.
  • Greeting and entertaining the parents with warmth, hospitality and care and dealing with professional understanding of knowledge on the educational system, faculty, our qualifications and academic resources.
  • Maintenance of broucher’s Rack, administration cabinets or other admissions office files, folders, furniture, mail boxes and IT resources
  • Neat, clean, aesthetic and green environment remembering first impression is the last impression with clear display of RIS material files, folders, ledgers and records.
  • Maintain Marketing & Promotional Material Foldern
  • Maintain General School Correspondence and Communication Folder
  • Take a leadership role in developing and implementing the RIS Rules, Policies and procedures as per RIS standard operating proedures. Moreover daily communication with the in-station branches for regular activity updates.
  • Disseminate information relating to Roots International Schools throughout the System via news bulletins, electronic mail, Fax, Phone, presentations, etc. Be an active participant in local and regional education conferences and Head Office Based training and professional development initiatives.
  • Supervising /staff/Office and school discipline.
  • Maintaining info i.e. official e-mail account and sending replies on behalf of Roots International Schools Department of School Support.
  • Handle and resolve conflicts relating to the students and time tabling.
  • Facilitating the school administrating in different aspects; making presentations, assisting in events.
  • Organizing, directing incoming mail, dealing directly with with mail dispatching tasks and distributing mail in the head office to the desired person and daily basis.
  • Plan and organize all projects and other co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Arranging excursion trips and transportation. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of plans made.
  • Monitor all the branch daily tasks, gates are kept close, maids and support staff perform their duties well, canteen is kept clean and food is hygienic, proper uniform, and other school related tasks.
  • Maintain all the records properly and update them on regular basis. No information should be accessible for the other staff or any other third party.
