Job Description:

· Support the Advocacy & Campaigns Senior Manager/take lead (whichever is appropriate/agreed time to time) to rollout operational work plan of programme Advocacy & Campaigns which includes a detailed timeline of activities.

· Organise meetings to coordinate with technical core group while implementing the campaign activities.

· Work with Communications team to prepare press releases and a standard media briefing under the guidance of the communications core group, organise advocacy events with media and ensure the effective and timely completion of media-related advocacy/campaigns activities.

· Provide technical support and coordinate with partner organisations and key stakeholders to plan and implement advocacy and campaigns activities at provincial and national level.

· To organise and attend campaign related activities as listed in the campaign work plan.

· To document the campaign related activities and maintain an update documentation base of the campaign.

· To attend team meetings and briefing sessions as appropriate and ensure proper documentation and circulation of the key updates regarding campaigns.

· Participate in emergency preparedness and response, as appropriate.

 
Skills Required:
 
Post-graduate degree in social sciences or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of campaigning and advocacy experiece with international/national organizations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to write high quality reports, press releases, persuasive letters etc.
Sound orientation of external environment specifically the government processes of legislative reforms
Good understanding of children child rights, policy and legal framework and policy and law making processes etc.
Experience of working in partnerships with local NGOs/CBOs
Effective networking skills and ability to coordinate with different stakeholders
Proficiency in Ms-Office
Ability to effectively perform a range of tasks simultaneously
Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently with a commitment to high quality work
Willingness to travel extensively and commitment to work with and for children
