Job Description:

ROLE PURPOSE:

The overall objective of this position is to lead district IMNCH team and assist the Provincial Project Manager IMNCH and IMNCH Coordinator in the preparation of DIP, Work plan and reports. Also develop and implement capacity building and community mobilization strategies and to coordinate with Department of Health, Population Welfare and all IMNCH partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in developing the training plans in line with the overall work plan;
  • Assist in the design and conduct of training sessions/workshops based on the plan and prepare the training reports;
  • Review and refine the training manual for standardized training module;
  • Compile, select and modify training materials/aids;
  • Ensure the distribution of teaching material and aids with appropriate feedback and guidelines to the provincial/district coordinators and the respective training facilitators;
  • Regular-on going documentation and reporting on program activities;
  • Provide appropriate feedback on training activities being conducted with a view to improve and integrate training process;
  • Meetings with the resource persons for training as and when required;
  • Liaise with the District health authorities, facility based healthcare providers and community based health workers for conducting the training sessions;
  • Keeping updated record of all relevant activities;
  • Maintain constant communication and coordination with all provincial and district staff for coordinating training process and ensuring quality
  • Represent the program at important forums

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Masters Degree in Social Sciences preferably in Health
  • 2-3 years experience of working in the public health.
  • Experience, knowledge and skills of effective capacity building.
  • Ability to analyze information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically.
  • Experience managing a team, and the ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
